Florianópolis International Airport, also managed by Zurich Airport Brasil, is elected the best airport in Brazil for the second consecutive year

Vitória Airport was ranked third in the ranking of the best airports in the country, in the most important award in the sector in Brazil. The survey promoted by the National Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC), through the Ministry of Infrastructure (MInfra), evaluated the 20 main airports during the year 2021.

Managed by Zurich Airport Brasil since January 2020, the airport rose four positions in the survey compared to its last edition. In the result released in 2021, Espírito Santo airport had been in seventh position, with a score of 4,45. Over the entire year of 2021, it achieved an average grade of 4,59, on a scale that goes from 1 to 5, moving up to third place on the list.

Florianópolis International Airport, managed by the same concessionaire, was elected the best airport in the country for the second consecutive time. The terminal in the capital of Santa Catarina obtained the highest average of overall passenger satisfaction among the 20 airports surveyed throughout 2021, reaching a score of 4,72.

This is the second time that Florianópolis has won the award. In 2020, the airport was also chosen as the best in Brazil in passenger evaluation.

The “Aviation + Brazil 2022” award ceremony took place this Monday (28), in Brasília, and recognized the airports that stood out in the quality of services provided to passengers, according to the satisfaction survey. In all, 44.588 users were heard.

Respondents evaluated 17 items of infrastructure, service and services, which involve the passenger experience and encompass airport processes, such as security inspection and services such as Wi-Fi, cleaning, thermal comfort, availability of outlets and audible warnings to passengers.

“In the routine of our operation, we are attentive and tireless in our quest to improve the experience of our passengers and visitors in every detail. It's not just the new infrastructure that counts, it's the excellence of the services that our entire team provides. The result of the SAC survey is a recognition that honors us greatly and shows that we are on the right path”, says Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Zurich Airport Brasil.

The high standard of efficiency and quality is directly linked to the group's DNA. In Switzerland, Zurich Airport received for the 18th time the ASQ Award, given annually by the Airports Council International (ACI) World, as the Best Airport in Europe in the category 25 to 40 million passengers.

“Quality and efficiency are guiding principles of the Zurich Airport Group, as well as transforming airports into pleasant and comfortable places, where people like to be. We are developers and not just airport operators, so we are proud to see the recognition by Brazilians of Florianópolis and Vitória airports”, reinforces Tobias Markert, CEO of Zurich Airport Latin America.
