Passengers can receive their flight status via WhatsApp

As of this Monday (the 5th), passengers at Vitória Airport will be able to receive information about their flight via Whatsapp, in a kind of “private panel”. The novelty from Zurich Airport Brasil, which manages the airport, has already been successfully tested by the company at the airport in Florianópolis.

The information that usually appears on the flight panels inside the terminal will be provided directly by the cell phone of the passenger who registers. Data such as flight confirmation, boarding gate, delayed status when applicable, eventual gate change, call to start boarding and last call will be in the palm of the traveler's hand.

To register, passengers will only have to point their cell phone's camera at a QRCode displayed at various points at Vitória Airport. Access is simple and intuitive. By scanning the code, the visitor accesses the airport panel and chooses the flight he would like to receive information about.

The objective is to provide even more tranquility to the passenger before traveling.

“We have a rigorous focus on providing quality to those who visit us. We want to show passengers that airports are nice places to be. This is yet another way to de-stress situations that cause stress and provide a pleasant experience”, observes Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Zurich Airport Brasil.

Managed by the Swiss group since January 2020, Vitória Airport is currently the third best in the country, according to the General Passenger Satisfaction Survey, carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
